Annual blood tests: Unfortunately chronic kidney diseases do not generally cause symptoms unless they are pretty advanced. Assessment of kidney function is achieved by routine blood and urine test (that's how they are generally and accidentally found). Ask your doctor if you have not done it already to check your urinalysis and basic metabolic panel and if they are normal, no worries!
