Different symptoms: An arrhythmia feels like skipped beats, racing heart, or irregular beat. Checking your pulse can suggest whether its' irregular, if you don't notice the sensations in your chest. The chest pain from, what most people call, heart disease, usually lasts longer than the fleeting pain of a heart palpitation. An arrhythmia is an electrical problem. See primary physician either way, to check-up.
