Dengue & blood donat: The virus that causes dengue fever does not stay in the body indefinitely. It is not a chronic condition and the virus is eventually cleared out. Four weeks post-dengue infection has been used by some authorities as a reasonable safety period. Seven years is more than enough time, but do at least mention this to the blood donation agency.
