A member asked:

What to do if i do not have allergies but my nose is running..?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: There are different causes of rhinorrhea (a runny nose). Allergies are a common cause but it can occur unrelated to allergies ( non-allergic). Vasomotor rhinitis is a common form of non-allergic rhinitis. Nasal saline and nasal steroids (nasacort (triamcinolone) is now over the counter) can be helpful in vasomotor rhinitis. If there is any history of trauma prior to onset of the rhinorrhea, see your doctor.
