A member asked:

I have diabetes and can't afford insulin? who can i talk to about this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

What kind of insulin: Newer insulins can be very expensive. They do offer some advantages over older insulins, but only if people can afford them and take them regularly. Ask you doctor if there are coupons or discount cards to help you, or if you can switch to older less expensive insulins like Relion "N" and "R" from WalMart ($25 a bottle). GoodRx is a smartphone app that can help you find ways to cut costs as well.
