Depends: Treatment depends on severity of fracture and which bone is broken. Sometimes surgery may be required or may be treated with a fracture boot or stiff soled shoe. That being said, basic rest, ice, elevation, pain medication, and using crutches until pain resolves will help. Undiagnosed or improper treatment of some fractures can cause long term pain. Recommend you be seen if you can.
