Depends: Treatment depends on severity of fracture and which bone is broken. Sometimes surgery may be required or may be treated with a fracture boot or stiff soled shoe. That being said, basic rest, ice, elevation, pain medication, and using crutches until pain resolves will help. Undiagnosed or improper treatment of some fractures can cause long term pain. Recommend you be seen if you can.

Fracture: Your best option is to see your podiatrist and work out a payment plan so you can be treated properly . Poorly healed / treated fractures usually lead to painful non healing site .
