See your doctor: Hyperthyroidism can cause a wide range of symptoms, or be present with no symptoms at all. Common symptoms include feeling hot, tiring easily, feeling short of breath with light exercise, heart racing, shakiness, sweating more than usual, losing (or gaining) weight, feeling irritable or on edge, and poor sleep. Lab tests are needed to see if hyperthyroidism is present. Your doctor can order these.
