Edema=swelling=fluid: Edema of lungs is fluid in lungs. That are many different reasons for that, but the things we like address first are no infections, heart function is stable or valves in heart working ok, kidney function is ok, and lung pressures are not high. Normal lung pressure is mucheas than blood pressure. If lung pressures are up, then fluid can back up
