Folliculitis : Both are very similar. An ingrown hair can irritate and infect the follicle and look just like a pimple. You won't see an ingrown hair, if it's just a pimple. Make sure you use new blade and shaving cream, if shaving there. This will make you less prone. Treat with antibiotic cream, but see your doctor, if redness spreads.
