No: See your own dentist and if he\she cannot explain the problem and resolve it in a reasonable amount of time, get a second opinion from another well respected dentist in your area.

Go back to DDS: Go back to that dentist and see what they say. Hopefully they can help you, if not ask a trusted friend or family member for a referral.

Not normal: Dental crown pain is usually the consequence of dental crown that does not lay on the tooth properly or it could possibly sit too high. Nevertheless, sounds like a long time for a crown to still hurt. If you have symptoms that persist for 3 month, you should report them to your dentist for an evaluate and a treatment recommendation. Good luck

Tooth pain: No this is not normal at all. Any time you have a tooth worked on there will be a resultant inflammatory response, which could cause initial minor tenderness or sensitivity which should diminish and go away, in much less than 3 months. You need to see the dentist to get the cause treated so you are pain free. Unless you are old like me, pain is not a common occurrance and is a sign of a problem.
