Sounds like it: Most women have a 28 day cycle. Cycle day 1 is the first day of the period. Most women ovulate on cycle day 14. If you don't get pregnant, the next period starts 14 days after ovulation. You are most fertile a day or 2 before ovulation, and you may notice a clear, egg-white mucous discharge. It sounds like you ovulated on cycle day 16. If you are not pregnant, your period will start cycle day 30.
