No insurance: People who are uninsured must be treated until they are medically stable in any emergency room. If you are under 18, and attending school, a school counselor or social worker may be able to assist you at the nurses office, or in finding a free clinic in your area. They may also be able to help you sign up for free or subsidized health insurance if you have no income or a low income.
