See family doctor: The metallic taste is coming from your diet and is a way for excess minerals to be expelled from the body. You can't have too much saliva, it may see like it. Do you have to urinate quite frequently? You might be ingesting too much liquid. Keep track of your dietary input for a week or so and see your family doctor to evaluate your diet log and the metallic taste. Could be something systemic

Your symptoms: You have more than likely developed a habit of spitting when it's not necessary. Simply swallow and try not to focus in on the amount of saliva in your mouth. Metallic taste can be from medication, diet, gum problems or a host of other causes. See your dentist first and if necessary a physician to get checked out and hopefully discover the cause of the metallic taste.
