Not necessarily : Data for selenium pills is not favorable at all. The meds we know heal gastritis are Proton Pump Inhibitors like nexium, (esomeprazole) Prilosec, Prevacid, etc.. But the key is to avoid foods and irritants that keep leading to higher acid levels-tomato based products, vinegar, citrus, alcohol, cigarettes, chocolate, spearmint/peppermint, spicy foods, hot temp foods.
