Always goes up: The troponin t rises whenever heart muscle is injured. There is always some heart injury with bypass surgery (this is normal) and the troponin t always is elevated afterward. Not to worry.

Depends: Troponin always elevated to various degrees after bypass surgery. Simply means injury to heart muscle, which is always seen with surgery to the heart. But could mean new heart attack due to thrombosed graft or coronary artery.
