Ranula/Mucocele: We have hundreds of tiny saliva glands throughout our mouths. Sometimes one can get plugged up and form a saliva filled "pimple". This sounds most likely what you are describing. Usually they pop and go away after a few weeks. If they get really large they sometimes require treatment by an oral surgeon. See your dentist for an evaluation if any questions.

Mucocele lesion: is a very common condition that happen when a salivary gland is injured or blocked. A mucocele usually is removed by a small oral surgery. The dentist may use a laser to remove the mucocele for faster healing and less complications..
