OHSS: Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome may indeed cause fluid accumulation. If the lungs are affected by fluid accumulation, this may lead to a noticeable shortness of breath. Generally, kidney manifestations would be first seen by laboratory testing. Waiting until kidney failure symptoms develop would be ill advised. Generally, if you have OHSS, you should be followed closely by your doctor.
