A member asked:

How often should my eyes be examined after i start seeing floaters? i'm 55 and have very high degree of short sightedness.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Soon: Floaters are common, especially in people who are nearsighted. However, if you have a sudden onset of new floaters, and/or flashes of light, or decreased vision, you should be evaluated immediately to make sure you have no retinal problems.
