Irregular cycles: Some women have very irregular menstrual cycles. Are you taking any birth control? Depo-provera can cause complete absence of periods. You weight can also be a factor. If you are very underweight you will not menstruate because your body believes you cannot support a pregnancy. Alternatively, if you are very overweight, you may have excessive estrogen circulating which can block menstruation.
