Possibly: Glucose testing by using home glucose meters depend on biological enzymes to determine the amount of glucose in the blood. These enzymes may be affected by other sugars like galactose, xylose icodextrin and by non-sugar substances like Acetaminophen (Tylenol) and Ascorbic Acid (vitamin C). D-mannose is structurally very similar to glucose and may give you false readings on glucose meters.
