Surgery: High grade carotid lesions are best treated by surgery. Not angioplasy, stunting or drugs. The main problem is there are few surgeons that are skilled enough to do the procedure at a low risk. Centers that do lots of this kind of work are in every major city. It's not a small hospital deal.
