Ibuprofen : It is important to take the medication as prescribed. I prefer to use 2000 mg of Amoxicillin per day in divided doses. Ibuprofen can help some with pain and swelling. An adult with no contraindications can take 400mg every 6-8 hours. You can check with your doctor regarding test results or new recommendations. If you cannot swallow liquids you will need to see a doctor right away.
