It depends.: If the main cause for memory loss is due to to acute sodium deficiency, he will recover when the sodium is replaced . It is rarely just one reason that memory is impaired. His doctor must find out what caused the sodium deficiency and correct the root cause.He should also try to find out whether there are medical problems that can contribute . Depression can also cause memolry deficits .
