A member asked:

I suffer from polymoysitis what is my prognosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Polymyositis: Well, there should be more explanation to it. There is dermatomyositis, which frequently is associated with malignancy and this needs to be ruled out. There is polymyalgia rheumatica, which is an inflammatory condition that is treated with steroids. Polymyositis is more of a general term but there should be a cause involved and found and prognosis will be based on it.
