Unsure: There is no age that would be too young for a hysterectomy, depending on the indication for the hysterectomy. while 40 is still young, it is not too young for a hysterectomy if you have appropriate indications for surgery - see your doctor or get a second opinion if you already have seen your doctor and that was what you were told.
