A member asked:

Could starving oneself be a symptom of self-harm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: A person who goes on an extreme diet may endanger their health and well being but yet not intentionally be trying to hurt him or her self. Whenever there is a suggestion of a significant eating problem, that person should talk with their medical doctor and also see a mental health professional
