Well....: Both polyps and hemorrhoids can bleed and maybe over time result in anemia but I would think a trained endoscopist should be able to tell the difference between a polyp and a hemorrhoid, especially in classic FAP patients who have a virtual forest of hundreds or thousands of polyps. Moral of the story: rectal bleeding should be evaluated.
