Workup/Mgt: Your baby may have a condition called reflux or problems swallowing fluids or solids. Other causes may be related to airway constriction, asthma or an infection. Your physician may order a swallowing study, a chest radiograph and a TB test as part of the work up. If there is wheezing, then albuterol may be given to relieve symptoms.
