Not at all: There are minimal risks of anesthesia. Only very minor risk of bleeding, as all bleeding vessels should be cauterized before skin is closed. Risk of infection is negligible as penis has such a superb blood supply. Medication such as Ativan, (lorazepam) can be taken to minimize post-operative erections & pain medications will be prescribed. Thus, go for it, if you need it. Good luck
