Docs! please tell me what happens if your left ventricle of your heart is getting strained?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Left Ventricle: When the left ventricle is pressure overloaded the muscle hypertrophies(overgrows)and this causes the fibers to get less nutrient from the vessels and gradually demand outruns supply and the muscle malfunctions. With volume load the fibers get overstretched and eventually lose contractility. There are also mixed forms of the two kinds of load.
