Why?: If they are prescribed to you for treatment of pain, the tramadol is for relatively mild pain and the Vicodin for more moderate pain, and they should NOT be taken at the same time. They may actually work against each other, or they may produce excessive sedation. If they are not prescribed, you shouldn't be taking either of them. If you are developing a problem with pills, get help now.
