Not advisable: It is highly unlikely that very occasional low-dose use of alcohol (like a small glass of champagne at a celebration) will do any harm, but why bother? I tell all my pregnant patients that they should avoid ANYTHING that isn't essential for their health during their pregnancy. If you are 46 years old, this is already a high risk pregnancy, and I would not chance it, since one can lead to two etc.
