Can hepatitis be detected years after? can any docs explain?

Dr. Ivan Ip answered

Yes for exposure: we can test hepatitis based on antibody testing, so if you have been exposed, and thus, your body produces antibody against the virus, we would be able to tell. we can even break down the antibody types to see whether it is a "old" exposure vs a "new" one. we can also test based on viral load, which detects the presence of the virus rather than antibody
