I have wolff parkinson white syndrome and i'm on propranolol. 20 mg 2 x daily. i was recently perscribed xanax (alprazolam) 1mg er (24hr). do these contradict?

No.: Propranolol is a beta-blocker which primarily slows down the heart rate. Xanax (alprazolam) is an anti-anxiety medication. Both medications do help reduce the stress response in the body (anxious, sweating, nervousness, heart racing).
