A member asked:

I am unsure of the side effects of tests like an mri and the evoked potential tests, but can they cause growth stimulation and an increase in height?

MRI studies : MRI studies and evoked motor testing will not cause growth stimulation or an increase in height. See your medical doctor to discuss why you are having the tests and what the tests are trying to confirm or reveal about your medical problem.

No: The MRI is a purely magnetic picture, so there should be no real side effects (less than even an x-ray). The evoked potential tests are simply electrical measurements, so aside from local discomfort from the leads, should not cause lasting problems either.
