Depends: Really depends on many factors. Most headaches and stiff necks are not serious but a few can be. So if this is happening to you frequently you should discuss it with your doctor.

May not be: Usually most people have headaches, not of real concern, they go away with otc pain meds. But if the headache is persistent or sudden occurrence of severe headache, the it may be of serious concern.
