He'll be fine: One year olds fall - and they fall often. It's good thing they are short so it's a shorter distance to the floor!. If there was no loss of consciousness, he is acting normal, no recurrent vomiting - he is totally ok. This may be his first significant fall, but I guarantee you it will not be his last! Show your concern but don't overdue it - he needs to know you are there for him, but don't smother
