Not necessarily: Both early pregnancy and a period coming can lead to cramping of the uterus. You should do a pregnancy test if you are unsure if you are pregnant. If the pain is only while exercising, it could be a muscle in your abdominal wall too. It depends exactly what type of pain and where it is. Either way, you should followup with your doctor who can do an exam.
