Migraine: Your headache sounds like migraine , unilateral throbbing headache with vomiting. Do you have light and sound sensitivity? Best treatment is to go in pitch dark, avoid all eye and brain stimulation and if not contraindicated to use Motrin ( bruising could be contraindication) and ice pack on head and neck. High BP can cause headache and severe headache can cause high bp. See MD if not better.
