Spasms: One possible cause is spasms of the intestines causing a cramp like discomfort which can radiate around both sides to the back with reflex nausea. Irritable bowel syndrome may have this symptom with constipation or diarrhea. If this occurs often,consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and treatment.
