Ankle Infection: If you are not a poorly controlled diabetic, then I would not expect your leg to be at risk due to an ankle infection. Are you under the care of a physician? If not, and especially if you are concerned enough to question whether you could lose your leg, I recommend you consider being checked by a doctor.

No. The antibiotics.: The antibiotics take care of almost all infections, so I do not see why you need to worry about losing your leg due to infection. Your treating doctor can guide you and assure you better if you ask them this question.
