Diet for gingivitis: The main cause for gum disease is a poor oral hygiene as well as foods that contain lots of sugar and processed foods. More fresh organic fruits and vegetables and fewer processed foods are important for healthy teeth, gums and overall health. However, there is no replacement for a regular dental cleanings and prophylaxis by the dental health professional.

Gum disease: Inflammatory gum disease is an infection, and infection cannot be cure by diet alone. Eat foods high in protein and low in carbs to support the treatment that your Dentist will provide. You will have to see your Dentist to start the healing process. Please make an appointment as soon as possible.
