Stress, Anxiety, MIs: It is known that stress and anxiety can definitely increase your risk for heart attack and stroke. The body adapts to a certain amount of stress and anxiety. Even more dangerous than chronic stress and anxiety is a huge spike in one of these. Some people have more organ reserve than others, so that affects your risk, too.
