A member asked:

How much time do you usually rest after chemo therapy before you go to a radiation therapy ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Variable: One factor is for physical strength and fatigue. However, most patients are not held from radiation due to fatigue. If offered though, it may be worth taking a break to recover. The second factor is for prevention of damage to a particular organ such as the heart or brain, in which patients are on a break for ~a couple of weeks to let the chemotherapy levels decrease in the blood.
