Likely Blepharitis: Redness around the eyelids is almost certainly related to a condition referred to as blepharitis or inflammation of the eyelids. Surprizingly similar to dandruff it can be effectively treated by using warm compresses and a drop of no tears baby shampoo to scrub the scruff off whilst in the shower each day. If this is unsuccessful after a week see your ophthalmologist for antibiotic ointmemt.
