6-8 weeks: A healthy person without confounding medical problems such as smoking, diabetes, bone or thyroid disease should recover from a fibular fracture in 6-8 weeks. The type of fracture also determines recovery time. Simple fractures heal within 6-8 weeks. More complex fractures take longer.
