If uninfected,: completely removed, devoid of disease carrying bacteria, left alone and not scratched repeatedly, and you are otherwise healthy it should be healed in a week. Keep in mind that if it persists you should be evaluated for a retained insect part which is the most common reason for persistent inflammation

Simple means: When our protective skin is injured/opened, then the delicate internal environment is exposed to the harsh external environment. Covering it with a clean dressing is the way to go changing it every other day or so. Avoid scratching. Anti-itch creams help. Also, stay away from peroxide, alcohol, betadine, hibiclens, bleach solutions and other irritating things. It should heal within a week.

Variable: It depends where it is. How deep it is. Whether it was infected. Any healing wound is as strong as it will be in 30 days. The wound remodels itself over an 18 month period. It does not completely heal fir 18 months

Is it true that time heals all wounds?

Wounds heal: No, that is not true. Some wounds become chronic. Some wounds worsen in patients who are failing and these also never heal; for example, pressure wounds in the lower back in ill patients.
