Use drops : Following cataract surgery, most ophthalmologists prescribe eye drops - including anti-inflammatory and antibiotics. It is important to use them as directed. I tell my patients to avoid eyeliner makeup for a week and avoid firm finger to eye contact. Otherwise no major restrictions with the latest laser cataract or traditional cataract surgery

Post Cataract Care: After Small Incision Cataract Surgery, most eyeMD recommend no bending, lifting heavy things, straining for at least 3-5 days w/ shield on at night time/when sleeping; no swimming with eyes open under water as well. If you had an ECCE, most extend this to 7-10days depending if there is no wound leak at the suture site. Keep eye clean w/gentle lid hygiene when MD says: see: eyedoc2020.blogspot.com
