Does avinza (morphine) work better than vicodin does?

Maybe....: Though they are both narcotic pain medications, Avinza (morphine) is thought to be "better" than vicodin generally because it lasts all day vs vicodin, which will only last for 2 -6 hours.

Different: Avinza is a once a day form of extended release morphine. Vicodin is hydrocodone and is dosed every 4 to 6 hours.
