How can i prevent being bitten by fleas?

Besides getting the pets treated for fleas , you could use flea repellents . Some of these contain DEET , and others contain PICARIDIN which is supposed to be safer .Also essential oils like rosemary , thyme ,cedar, lemon eucalyptus , are all effective repellents .Make sure to cover yourself with long sleeved tops and pants . Treat clothing with permethrin 0.5%. CDC has put out a guide for this.
